Redbait Reef is Plettenberg Bay’s house reef, it is a delightful introduction to the area & conditions.
A short swim from the shore in Plettenberg Bay lies a trio of pinnacles that is a photographer’s paradise! This large reef is home to many fish species & is a nursery in the summer months.
As part of the Blinders reef, The Wall is worth the slightly further swim. Rising from 10m to just below the surface & covered in many species & colours of soft coral

It was in 2006 that Prodive Plett was born and over the years has grown from a small outlet to a world- class 5 Star PADI Dive centre. With its own house reefs, on-site shop, lecture room, training pool, equipment room, and air-fill station, it has now become an integral part of the Beacon Isle Hotel.

We offer a wide range of activities for the whole family, such as diving courses, shore dives, charters, and snorkeling excursions.

Plett is also home to a large Cape Fur Seal colony and is one of the few places in the world where you can enjoy the unique experience of these inquisitive creatures. You can either join us for a seal dive, seal snorkel, or stay on the boat and view them from the surface...This is bound to be one of your most exciting interactions with marine animals ever!

It is essential to bring along your Dive Certification card / logbook to verify your qualification. If you are not carrying these items & are a PADI certified diver, to avoid disappointment please contact us ahead of time so that we can verify your certification on the PADI Website.

What to expect

You will be met on arrival by our experienced Dive Guide who will sign you in & assist with fitting your Scuba & Snorkel gear (changing rooms & lockers are available on site). Once you are all kitted up, you will receive a full dive briefing from your dive guide. Thereafter we enter by shore for a short swim to our dive site for a 45 minute relaxing dive. On arrival back at ProDive, our facilities include changing rooms & shower where you can freshen up after your amazing dive experience.

Meet at the dive center

Please drive straight to the Beacon Island Hotel Main Entrance. Park outside & follow our signs on the walkway to the left of the boom gate. We are INSIDE the Beacon Island Hotel complex, next to the volleyball courts. If you need any further directions please ask the security.
