Minimum age: 12+
Min. certification: Open Water Certification required
Min logged dives: 9 logged dives required
PADI Open Water Diver or qualifying entry-level certification.

What to expect

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is focused on improving your skills. Also available in eLearning, the first phase of this training is Knowledge Development, which includes lessons on popular specialty dives. In the second phase you will practice underwater navigation and buoyancy, try deep diving and do three specialty dives of your choice. During the final phase, after some practice with your instructor, you will do five open water dives. There is no exam because this course is all about having fun and gaining experience. For each specialty dive you complete, you can earn credits toward PADI® specialty certifications.
