Description
Sangat Island Dive Resort offers a comprehensive on-site dive facility, re-built in 2018 and ready to serve your needs.
The resort is an ideal location for technical and wreck diving. Since the majority of neighboring wrecks have settled at a depth of 25 to 40 meters, most are still in quite good condition and penetrations are possible – indeed, encouraged – for experienced technical and wreck divers.
Reef diving is also very good, providing delicate habitats for countless varieties of coral, coloured tropical fish, lobster, crab, seahorses, turtles and a large number of pelagic species including tuna, barracuda and spanish mackerel.
The house reef itself is an officially recognized and protected marine sanctuary and originates one to three meters from the surface and slopes to a maximum depth of 18 to 28 meters. Dive destinations located close to the open ocean waters and land-locked bodies of water have the best visibility.
