Andromeda, the 5 Star Diving Safari liveaboard, was built based on a unique design, meeting the needs of every Diver and Guest. Spacious, tastefully decorated cabins with en-suite bathrooms, a roomy dining room, salon and sun deck make the 1 week diving safari comfortable for everyone. The heart of the boat is the Shisha Room, reminiscent of the East where stories can be told every night in the shadow of the lingering delicious waterpipe smoke. Completed in 2009, the steel hull MY Andromeda is almost 40 metres long with a sleek, stable design and high-quality interior. Accommodating up to 26 guests, she runs 7 and 14 night Red Sea diving cruises to the best sites in Sudan as well as Egypt.
The European Salon is an air conditioned spacious lounge, well equipped with an LCD TV, VCR, DVD and CD player and furnished in a European style. We also have a satellite telephone, a library of movies, magazines, fish books, novels and games.
The comfortable 100-square-metre Sun Deck provides plenty of space for sun seekers, as well as a shaded area. Comfortable deck chairs and cushioned seats make time more pleasant. There is a smaller sun deck in front of the Captain’s Bridge. In front of the salon is a comfortable open but covered area for resting and chatting between dives and in the evening.
The large Dive Deck and Dive Platform area ensures more than adequate space for Divers preparing for their next plunge into the Red Sea. 2 hand-held showers on the platform allow for a rinse after diving or snorkeling. A bathroom with shower and marine head leads directly off the dive deck. Rental of diving equipment can be arranged but should be booked well in advance. (only for Egypt itineraries)
Food on this Red Sea liveaboard consists of both local and International dishes served buffet style.
You can expect a large range of dishes with each sitting and a good standard of cuisine. In addition to the 4 meals a day, snacks, cookies and fruit are always available to make sure you never go hungry. International, Italian and local Egyptian cuisine are served on board. The menus are not fixed and meals are served as a buffet. Complimentary meals consist of pre-breakfast, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tea & coffee, drinking water, soft drinks, fruit, biscuits, candy bars, toast are free of charge. Beer and spirits are available for purchase on board. Vegetarians are catered for on this boat. Catering begins on arrival on the first day.
