Akomo Isseki is a 27-meter Phinisi sailing the waters of Raja Ampat, Ambon, the Banda Sea, and Komodo.
Built by the skilled Konjo builders of South Sulawesi, this vessel features two teak masts and a ketch cutter sailing rig. Launched in 2018, Akomo Isseki is crewed by experienced Bugi sailors from Bira in South Sulawesi. Handcrafted on the beaches of Tanah Beru using tropical hardwoods from the forests of Kendari, the cabins are made from kendoli and teak, with large beds and natural ventilation.
The Akomo Isseki offers 4 twin cabins with shared bathroom facilities, combining modern appliances with traditional handicrafts. Each cabin includes a wardrobe, computer/gadget desk, portholes, and a fan. Guests can enjoy a communal dining area, a covered dive deck, and a spacious sun lounging area—perfect for savoring cold beers and stunning sunsets.
Meals on board feature a mix of freshly-cooked Indonesian and Western dishes, including freshly-caught fish, beach BBQs, home-baked bread, and cakes. Hot coffee and treats are always available, with beers and sodas offered at an extra charge. The crew is happy to accommodate special dietary requirements, including vegetarian and vegan options, with advance notice.
