If you have always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, explore, see and enjoy having a unique adventure and seeing the world beneath the waves, this is the right course for you.
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases. The first is knowledge development, which covers everything you need to know about basic techniques, terminology, and safety procedures in scuba diving. The second is confined water dives, which are training sessions conducted in a pool or in water with pool-like conditions. They give you the opportunity to get used to the equipment you'll be using and practice basic diving skills and safe diving techniques. The third is open water dives. You'll make your first ocean dives! Over four dives, you'll practice various skills both underwater and on the surface to ensure you're a safe and competent diver. The training portion usually only takes up the first portion of the dive, meaning you'll spend most of your time diving with your instructor and exploring the underwater world. As soon as your instructor approves your open water dives, you'll earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification! This means you will be allowed to rent scuba gear and dive anywhere in the world up to 18 meters, for life!
